For the August 2012 Styleseeker Collection, MAC released some fabulous duos! Housed in a compact which is like the quad style but cut in half, the Eye Shadow x2 palettes feature two coordinating shades to make your eyes simmer for Fall.
Four different duos were released including Culturalized, On the Hunt, Whims & Fancies, and today’s post of Marché Aux Puces (which Google Translate tells me means Flea Market).
What the MAC website has to say about Marché Aux Puces: Eye Shadow x2:
A highly pigmented powder formula that applies evenly, blends and builds beautifully. The globally inspired colour combination of Indie Spirit and Chessa create softly shadowed to dramatic eyes.
3 g / 1.0 US oz
Marché Aux Puces includes two shades of eye shadow, which are Indie Spirit (chestnut brown, matte) and Chessa (midtone golden orange, veluxe pearl).
Chessa is a very brassy orange shade. It’s really pretty, but some may find it hard to wear. As a Veluxe Pearl it blended well and the pigment was great.
Indie Spirit was decent for a matte shade and almost like a brick brown. I found this easy to apply to my eye and blend with Chessa.
This duo paired together well and can also work well alone. A solid pairing for the warm toned individual!
For this EOTD I used Make Up For Ever Eye Prime as a base. I applied Indie Spirit all over the lid and crease minus the inner corners. At the inner corners and above the crease I applied Chessa and then put MAC Warming Trend (this was LE, try All That Glitters) above that to dial it down a bit. MAC Grain was used to highlight. The eye liner is Urban Decay Perversion and the mascara is MAC Plushlash.
