Essie has launched a little collection that, at first glance, will be an immediate love for those of us distracted by shiny things *sheepishly raises hand*.
The Mirror Metallics Collection came out in July with five shades in Good as Gold, No Place Like Chrome, Blue Rhapsody, Penny Talk, and today’s post of Nothing Else Metals.
Nothing Else Metals is a beautiful shade of metaled silver lilac. It is actually a perfect match for my prom dress circa 1998 (we won’t talk about that).
Unfortunately, this formula is not easy to work with by any stretch of the imagination. It’s streaky and will magnify every imperfection you have going on. As it dries, it does get a bit less noticeable, but still isn’t the prettiest finish.
It looked fine with one coat, but for the above I went for two coats to try and get the streaking to fade a bit. IDK why I thought that would work lol. Even with a nail foundation the metal polish just accentuated everything it shouldn’t have. Basically, unless you have nail perfection going on (I obviously don’t, I used to bite AND I wore acrylic for years), this is going to look not so fabulous.

The Essie Mirror Metallics Nail Lacquer Collection is available for around $8.00 at your local drugstore.

Wow this is a cool one! I keep saying I’m not that into nail polishes, but each time when I see a cool one I want it!
