MAKE UP FOR EVER PARTNERS WITH SYFY
TO BECOME OFFICIAL MAKE UP SPONSOR OF FACE OFF
New York, NY (August 1, 2012) — MAKE UP FOR EVER has signed on as the official make up sponsor for Face Off, the Syfy’s hit competition/elimination series featuring special-effects make up artists and the unlimited imagination that allows them to create amazing works of living art. As the go-to make up brand for top industry professionals and beauty aficionados around the world, this partnership will provide the show’s contestants with the tools they need to test the boundaries of both traditional and avant garde make up artistry and bring their creativity to life. The winner of Face Off will be given the opportunity to become a guest lecturer at the MAKE UP FOR EVER ACADEMY in Paris and New York.
Through this multifaceted integration, the competing make up artists will have access to MAKE UP FOR EVER’s wide range of products to utilize for challenges in the Face Off lab, and Lijha Stewart, MAKE UP FOR EVER head artist, will also join the show as a guest judge for episode 6 in season 3 set to air on September 25, 2012. Lijha will be presenting MAKE UP FOR EVER’s dedicated “Fashion Forward” challenge, during which the contestants will enter the lab to find models wearing over-the-top, high-fashion outfits and are asked to create an avant-garde beauty make up look that will complement the clothing.
“As a professional brand with deep roots in all facets of artistry, ranging from natural, everyday make up to special effects and body painting, we could not be more thrilled to be part of a competition series that challenges artists to push the limits and explore the transformative power of make up,” says JP McCary, General Manager of MAKE UP FOR EVER, The Americas. “Additionally, Face Off is the perfect opportunity for us to put MAKE UP FOR EVER’s high performance products to the test in a unique and very captivating way, while showcasing our brand to a wider audience to expand brand awareness.”
Dedication to artistry has always been part of MAKE UP FOR EVER’s distinctive DNA, and partnering with Face Off is an exciting opportunity for the brand to connect with and give back to the make up artist community. Created by Parisian artist Dany Sanz to fulfill the needs of fellow industry professionals, MAKE UP FOR EVER has become the make up artists’ reference for information, inspiration, artistry and education around the world. Today, MAKE UP FOR EVER has become a coveted brand for professionals and beauty novices alike, and is available at Sephora and Sephora.com, as well as the brand’s freestanding boutiques in Los Angeles and Dallas.
“This season’s challenges have trumped everything we’ve done in the past on the show. The MAKE UP FOR EVER products help to bring the contestants’ creative visions to life in a brilliant and dramatic way,” says Robyn Lattaker Johnson, Syfy’s Vice President of Alternative Programming.
Season 3 of Face Off kicks off on Tuesday, August 21st at 9/8c on Syfy.
