Bobbi Brown has jumped on the BB Cream bandwagon and presented a major contender. Her new BB Cream Broad Spectrum SPF35 promises to perfect, protect AND moisturize.
What the Bobbi Brown website has to say about their BB Cream:
Moisturize, perfect and protect – instantly and over time. Now it’s easier than ever to get great skin with Bobbi Brown’s new BB Cream SPF 35. Inspired by a skincare/makeup hybrid that’s a cult favorite in Asia, this formula combines moisturizer, treatment, Broad Spectrum SPF and a lightweight foundation in one. Plus, it’s available in five skin tone correct shades carefully formulated by Bobbi herself. Consider it your skin’s new best friend.
Bobbi Brown BB Cream comes in five shades – Extra Light, Light, Fair, Medium, and Medium to Dark. I match up best with Fair, so that is the shade that I’m reviewing and the one that is swatched above.
My biggest complaint about any BB cream is the lack of coverage. I’ve been using 3LAB ‘Perfect’ BB Cream religiously because of the major amount of coverage it provides. I’m old, man, I needs it. The biggest pit-fall of the 3LAB is the cost. It lasts a long time, but holy cow…
Bobbi Brown BB Cream covers well enough (not AS much as the 3LAB but good enough for what I need) and is less than half the cost of the 3LAB. I love the flawless finish that it provides, and how it helps my makeup last and look fresher for longer. This BB Cream has moved to immediate HG status and sits front and center on my vanity.

The Bobbi Brown BB Cream SPF 35 retails for $42.00 and is available now at bobbibrown.com.

Hi! Question: just HOW moisturizing is it?
I have a combination skin (it seems to be dry AND oily at the same time); it’s pretty hot where I live.
My make up doesn’t last much — I’m happy when I can get 4 hours out of a long-wear foundation.
Also, my skin tends to break out with anything too moisturizing.
For reference, Maybelline Dream Fresh, MAC Studio Sculpt and Diorskin Sculpt make my skin break out, a lot.
Thanks! And great swatches, btw.

It’s not too bad. Just enough. My skin is like yours – oily in my t-zone, dry in my cheeks (especially in the winter!) and I’m sensitive to breakouts. I’ve been using Murad Cleanser with kate Somerville Anti-Bac Lotion in the Day and the Cream at night and my skin has stayed pretty much on point. It helps when the skin is under control in the hot weather. It just seems like makeup wears better when it is. We were in Florida in late April and I could hardly stand how I melted all day lol Even eye primer that usually holds like iron melted off! AH.

Looks great! Do you set it with powder?

I do. I use Lancome Dual Finish Powder, almost like a religion lol The Bobbi Brown covers enough, though, that if you use a loose powder it would still cover nicely
