I don’t know how Target gets all of these amazing shades as exclusives, but I really hope you have one local for the five I’m about to share with you.
For Fall 2012, Nicole by OPI releases five new shades – exclusively for Target! (Enlarge swatch photos to see the glitters in all their glory).

Iris My Case

Iris My Case looks like it’d be a purple duochrome in the bottle, but on the nail it’s just your average purple… with some shimmer. Formula was a little thin but painted on well. Reminds me of China Glaze No Plain Jane that I just reviewed (though the CG has a bit more blue and oomph to it)! For the NOPI I used three coats in the photo.
Mer-Maid for Each Other

Mer-Maid for Each Other is a gorgeous green/blue metallic duochrome. In the sun we even see some shimmer! I had thought this would be a dupe for OPI Just Spotted the Lizard (see here for a couple of comparisons of similar shades to the OPI) but it’s NOT. It’s gorgeous, you need it. Two coats were used in the photo.
Just Busta Mauve

Just Busta Mauve is a mostly mauve, blue and copper love of glitter! It reminded me of Supergirl. This would totally be her polish of choice because it’s beautiful and powerful. Three coats were needed. (Did this put Young MC Just Bust A Move in your head? I can’t get that song out of my head now lol)
If the Blue Fits…

If the Blue Fits… is a deep royal blue with an overload of blue glitter. There are actually a smattering of other colors mixed in with the glitter, but it’s hard to capture. If you enlarge the middle no sun/no flash photo you can see it best (though still not as good as you will IRL). Really beautiful. I used two coats for the photo.
For Gold Times Sake

For Gold Times Sake is probably my fave from this bunch. A glitter similar to that of Just Busta Mauve and If the Blue Fits…, For Gold Times Sake has an ore look to it… lots of browned gold and olive green, as well as other random colors of glitter. Three coats were needed.
Out of the five shades in this mini-collection, you absolutely need For Gold Times Sake and Just Busta Mauve. If you can add a third, get If the Blue Fits… If you don’t already have a green duochrome Mer-Maid for Each Other is also a must have. I didn’t feel like Iris My Case was very special because on me it just looked like a flat metallic purple, but you might be into that?
