You guys….
For Fall 2012, OPI is introducing two new additions to their Designer Series line of Nail Lacquer – Luxurious and Indulgence. Looking at these shades on your nails is like seeing Olympian Ryan Lochte in person for the first time. That’s never happened to me, but I imagine it’s the same feeling.
The Designer Series lacquer formula is enhanced with real diamond dust, offering light reflecting, multidimensional color.
Luxurious is described as a captivating coral-red with a golden glisten. This shade painted on beautifully and coated the nail completely with two coats.
Indulgence
Indulgence is described as a radiant red-violet with a shimmering, golden finish. This polish also applied very well and was opaque in two coats, however I did three for the photos because I wanted the base to hit as burgundy as possible. LOVE it. Reminds me of my Mitsubishi Eclipse from BK (aka before kids!).
These shades are like King Midas sneezed on your mani. That’s just not a pretty picture… but seriously… the gold infused through these polishes is stunning. No way could this type of gold happen to polish without Midas. Long story short, YOU NEED THEM BOTH.
For more information, please see the Official Press Release.
Designer Series by OPI nail lacquers contain no DBP, Toluene, or Formaldehyde, and each includes OPI’s exclusive ProWide™ Brush for the ultimate in application. DS Indulgence and DS Luxurious will be available beginning September 2012 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $12.50 ($14.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.

They are quite lovely but they don’t seem very special to me. If they were anything like the original DS line I think maybe I would deem them worth the price tag.
