What collection from Fall 2012 would be complete without an Eye Palette? The Bobbi Brown Desert Twilight Eye Palette needs no other name, as it is the epicenter of the Desert Twilight Collection.
What the Nordstrom website has to say about the Desert Twilight Eye Palette:
The essence of late summer in eight sultry shades for that tawny, glowing skin that happens just before dusk. It’s a mix-and-play palette of neutral shadows to transition you effortlessly through the seasons, including a light base shade, six medium lid shades and a dark liner shade. It also includes a dual-ended eyeshadow and eyeliner brush, all in a sleek mirrored compact so you can apply everything like a pro.
(L-R: Navajo, Twilight, Pink Dusk, Water Color Pink, Twilight Pink, Cement, Dusk, Chocolate Mauve)
This is a great mix of colors to keep neutral and work safe for Fall. While most of the shades are sheer there are still a plethora of looks to achieve. You can do an easy eye with one of the sheer shades then get ready for happy hour by popping Chocolate Mauve in the outer V.
The shadows are easy to use and the only two I had fall out issues with were the Sparkle shades (Water Color Pink & Dusk). Those are also the two that don’t show up too well, so I applied them over a Shimmer Ink. You could also achieve a similar result by using a Long-Wear Cream Shadow.
Obviously, the possibilities are endless with this one. I did three EOTD looks with this palette to show you just a few of the many looks that you can achieve with it.
For the first look, I started off applying a layer of Bobbi Brown Twilight Night Shimmer Ink all over the lid. Then I applied Dusk on the outer half of the lid, and Water Color Pink to the inner half and up above the lid. I highlighted using Navajo. I added more of the Shimmer Ink as a bottom liner and smudged a bit of Pink Dusk shadow beneath that. The mascara is Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill.
For the second look, I decided on something very wearable and neutral. Using UDPP as a base, I applied Pink Dusk to the outer part of the lid. Twilight Pink was used on the inner part of the lid and Cement was used just above the crease. Navajo was used to highlight. The eye liner is Bobbi Brown Twilight Night Shimmer Ink and the mascara is Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill.
For the third look, I went a bit smokier but still remained neutral. Using UDPP as a base, I applied Pink Dusk to the lid. Twilight was used above the crease and Chocolate Mauve was used on the outer V and outer part of the crease. Navajo was used to highlight & I put a little bit of Twilight Pink in at the inner corners of the eye. The eye liner is Bobbi Brown Twilight Night Shimmer Ink and the mascara is Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill.

I’m on the fence with this one. These are the colors I gravitate towards besides my typical browns/tans, but I worry about how many light colors are in it. They’re all pretty and can easily work together, but the selection isn’t as diverse as I would like. I would be sold if they had swapped out on of the lightest shades for something a bit darker or intense.
