The newest mini-collection to hit Chanel.com is the Bombay Express de Chanel Collection. It’s only 7 items deep with 4 of those being Limited Edition. I picked up 3 of the LE products, steering clear of the highlighter. It’s pretty to look at, but I don’t use highlighters that often and I don’t know if I’d do anything with that one other than stare at it for hours… maybe days. 2012 never looked so good.
One of the more anticipated items throughout the interwebs is the Le Vernis in Diwali. I know I’ve been waiting patiently for this nail polish since I saw this post on Cafe Makeup back in December!!
What the Chanel website has to say about Diwali Le Vernis:
A glowing mix of pale gold and luminous silver recalls the traditional festival of lights with opulence. Part of the limited-edition BOMBAY EXPRESS DE CHANEL Collection.
Diwali is a metallic gold with a very sparse amount of silver entwined throughout. It coats beautifully, easily and evenly. The swatches above are done with two coats, as one coat was a little too thin.
Chanel Diwali Le Vernis retails for $30.00 and is available at Chanel.com for a limited time.
Hi! I work for a magazine and we’d like to use one of your photos (middle one: no sun, no flash) in the magazine to illustrate a piece about Le Vernis Diwali. Please email me if you’re okay with us using it, and let us know if/how you’d like to be credited. Thanks!
