This isn’t news, but convenience is all the rage. Whether you’re a working stiff, parent, or BOTH you’re clearly looking for ways to shave a few minutes off of your morning routine.
For Fall 2012, Bobbi Brown gives us a product that is super portable (quickie touch-ups FTW), and perfectly suitable for use on both cheeks and lips – the Creamy Color for Lips & Cheeks. AND it’s available in two shades (Honeyed Tea and Pink Truffle), so everyone gets to try. Awesome noodles!
What the Nordstrom website has to say about Bobbi Brown Creamy Color for Lips & Cheeks:
Buildable color that blends with ease, the dual-purpose formula provides medium coverage for both lips and cheeks in a convenient, fuss-free tube. Wear it alone for a muted flush of color or layer it with your favorite blush for richer depth, the intensity is all up to you. Feels creamy yet sheer on skin and makes transitioning season to season a breeze thanks to two ultra-versatile shades.
Honeyed Tea
Honeyed Tea is a subtle browned nude. I love the dewy effect this one gives off. This neutral shade is one I gravitate towards year round.
Pink Truffle
Pink Truffle is pinked mauve, insanely beautiful and cool for Fall. This one blended on the cheeks much more matte than Honeyed Tea.
In the above pics I wore the Creamy Color on both my lips and the cheeks. The pigment was nice, and the feel was light. This product is easy to apply, blend out and didn’t feel sticky. When applying to the cheeks, be sure to dab on a little at a time before you blend out. You can always keep adding as you see fit. It’s a lot easier than having to wipe off and start over! To blend this product out I used my Sigma F80 Flat Kabuki.
Packaging. First off, I am still cracking up. These little tubes have some air packed in em. I couldn’t get Pink Truffle to come out, so I squeezed with all of my super strength and do you know that cream POPPED and FLEW across the room. I have been on my hands and knees and still have yet to find it. I bet it’s in my hair. I don’t even want to know.
Anyway, I’m pretty sure I don’t like the tubes. Not just because it confetti blasted out, but the tubes are small and it’s not super easy to get product out. You need very little product, so it shouldn’t run out TOO quickly… but for the price I’d like to see it in a pot or something a little more user friendly. On the plus side, they are convenient as well as sanitary.
Also, I’d like these to be permanent. Ahem.
