I’m just going to come right out with it and let you guys know I’m a grease ball. Wait… that’s a bad image. My HAIR can become that of a grease ball. I have to wash this mess EVERY DAY. Which is annoying, because it constantly needs dried and styled (which I constantly skimp on).
Things like dry shampoos have never done squat for me. They always left my hair looking like a cheap wig from the party store. It didn’t matter if I used too much to too little… wig-town.
This June, Shu Uemura Art of Hair released Volume Maker. A powder set to refresh, amplify shape, give your roots crazy amounts of volume, texture, and give a longer lasting style.
It’s a powder dispensed via brush (you pump the button on the bottom and a very little amount of powder appears at the brush) which gives you an easy and controlled use. You’ll never over-use!
The secret to the powder is an innovative formula: “State of the art texturizing polymers encapsulated in micro-particles are so small that they allow for a large surface of adhesion on the hair’s surface. This allows the texture to spread across the roots and support the hair’s most intricate areas while still keeping the powder invisible. “
Volume Maker works. I am able to style my hair one day, and then the next day add this to the crown of my head and get the non-grease ball volume back. This is also awesome for teasing your hair without making knots. Which, I guess doesn’t make it teasing, but you’ll end up with the same effect with less damage to your hair. Plus, I can NEVER tease my hair right. I suck at it. Now I don’t. Boo-yah.
The price is probably higher than what you’d think. But you use SO little it’s going to last forever and a day, and for a product that works, I’ll shell out a bit more.
PRICE AND AVAILABILITY: Shu Uemura Art of Hair Volume Maker has a suggested retail price of $48.
