Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color Swatches and Review

July 25, 2012

Happy Wednesdayyyy!  I don’t know why I’m so happy it’s Wednesday… I’m delirious, I guess.  All the more reason to show you some nail polishes that are primed to mess with your mind.  MAGNETICS!

The latest from Sally Hansen shows off Magnetic Nail Color in 8 shades.   I have 5 of them here to share with you in Graphite Gravity, Polar Purple, Golden Conduct, Electric Emerald, and Ionic Indigo.

The first shade I’m going to show you is my clear favorite – Ionic Indigo.  Not only is the hue STUNNING but this is a great shade for Fall!

The other shades are gorgeous as well.  My other favorites are Electric Emerald and Polar Purple, but I’m happy to have them all in my life (gotta be fair to the kids!)

(top-bottom: Electric Emerald, Polar Purple,Golden Conduct, Graphite Gravity)

The formula was great.  You totally need two coats.  Paint the one coat on all nails, and as you add the second go to town with the magnet.

For best results, I’ve found this process works best – one nail at a time paint on one coat, wait a beat, paint on another coat, immediately hold the magnet over the nail for 5-10 seconds.  This gives off the strongest design (see pointer and middle fingers of Blue Indigo swatch).

For more information on this collection, please see the Official Press Release.

Sally Hansen Magnetic Nail Color retail for $9.99 each and are available in 8 shades at drugstores nationwide.

These magnetic polishes never appealed to me, for some reason. Those and also the shatter/crackle effect ones. It all seems so gimmicky to me…that being said, I love how Electric Emerald and Golden Conduct look on you!

I often wonder how this one works w/o reading too much of the directions. So it’s the magnet then! Interesting!! My delirious- happy day would be Saturday after lunch because that’s when my weekend officially starts :-)))
