Rae Cosmetics SURFACE PRIMER, CLIMATE CONTROL MINERAL TINT, and MAKEUP WIPES Swatches & Review

This is probably the muggiest Summer ever.  EV-er.  You just walk outside and it’s like “ugh”.   How can beauty survive through all this mess?  We keep our innards nourished with good old H20 and cool treats, but what about your face?  We can’t be expected to spend all this time on our faces and the minute we walk outside melt like some evil witch straight outta OZ.

Rae Cosmetics has provided the tools to beat the heat and protect your skin from the sun.

I’ve had these products for awhile.  I’ve literally been testing them to the death.  Why?  Because the first time I used it… it worked.  No way, right?  So I kept on trying… and the products kept on working.  My skin stayed matte, my makeup stayed on, I didn’t look like I rubbed my face up and down a tub of olive oil.  Nice.

Starting off I used the makeup wipes ($15) to remove anything greasy or of excess on my face.  I then applied the Surface Primer ($38) all over, and topped that with the Climate Control Mineral Tint ($39).  The Primer doesn’t feel greasy and smooths on easily.  Climate Control (oil-free, lightweight, tinted moisturizer) seemed thin, but actually provided a million times more coverage than I anticipated.  After that, I used my makeup as normal… powder, blush, lipstick, eye stuff…. at the end of the day I looked in the mirror….

Still lookin’ good!  Not perfection (because initially I didn’t touch up with powder ALL day) but nothing to be embarrassed about in the least.  Much, much better than if I hadn’t used the items.   If I touched up with powder or using blogging papers, my face stayed right on top.

Obviously, they work best when used all together.  My results were still good when I used them separately, but not as good as when all three were layered.  Plus, the Primer and Mineral Tint have SPF20!

I’m truly a fan.  Still can’t believe they work as well as they do lol I’m so used to products like this having no effect on makeup wear!  AHHH!
