Five lipsticks (Fire Sign, Cusp of Dawn, Pleasureseeker, Cut a Caper, and Venus) have released with the July 2012 Collection of Heavenly Creature by MAC. All are extremely wearable shades, with nothing too out of the norm.
For this post we’re going to check out the modest Cusp of Dawn (beiged pink, lustre) and the feminine Venus (sheer yellow pink with pearl, lustre).
Both of these lipsticks are a lustre formula and apply to the sheer side. They can be layered to build the intensity, but it’s not going to be an extreme color by any means. As a lustre, you’ll only get about 2 hours of wear before you need to reapply. On the plus side, reapplication is easy and they won’t dry out your lips.
The lustre formula is so perfect for when you want to wear a brighter color, but need to break yourself in before going balls out and wearing a vibrant and over the top matte shade. Cusp of Dawn and Venus are both nicely neutral and easy to wear.
