Four Mineralize Blushes (Ring of Saturn, Solar Ray, Supernova and Stratus) have released with the July 2012 Collection of Heavenly Creature by MAC.
I wasn’t planning on stopping at the MAC counter (I was sort of running in and out of Macy’s for last minute vacation essentials) but I figured… meh they’re not busy, let’s take a quick peek. Ring of Saturn was the only blush that grabbed my attention without actually putting it on my face. I might have liked the others, but I only had time to hand swatch. Home with me it went.
What the Nordstrom website has to say about MAC Mineralize Blush:
Baked minerals are refined into a powder formula to provide exceptionally sheer and lightweight application. Color builds lightly, layer after layer, without heavy coverage. Veils and enhances the cheekbones with a luminous, pearlized shimmer.
Ring of Saturn (terracotta and gold melange) gives off a burnt orange rose glow. I was pleasantly surprised to see that this blush didn’t swatch as shimmery as I thought it would. You can see a bit of the golden shimmer in the heavier swatch, but when it’s sheered out it appears to be more of a luminous satin.
Mineralized Blush applies lightly, as a natural and buildable color for the cheeks. It’s easy to get carried away, but really all you need to do with Ring of Saturn is swirl it on the apples of your cheeks and blend up.

MAC Mineralize Blush retails for $23.50 and is available at your local MAC counter (try Nordstrom) or store. Ring of Saturn is limited edition to the MAC Heavenly Creature Collection.
