The two newest shades to the Chanel Rouge Extrait de Gloss line come to us with the launch of the Fall 2012 Collection. I do love Chanel, but haven’t yet tried this particular formula of gloss. It was Pink Sith who had me reeling to try try Troublant, but it was my in store swatch of Caprice that had me taking both home.
What the Nordstrom website has to say about Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss:
CHANEL reveals the next generation of lip gloss. with color so rich and shine so intense it could only be inspired by the iconic lipstick, Rouge Allure. Bold color combines with the smoothest, silkiest gel texture for luxurious wear and a deeply dramatic effect. Lips feel comfortable, never sticky or tacky, and look luminous, full and sensuous for hours. The double-sided, flocked applicator is beveled to deliver ultra-precise definition.
Caprice is a light pinky-peach laced with subtle golden shimmer.
Troublant
Troublant is a light pinky-plum with discrete golden shimmer.
The formula on these is good and the look is glossy. They feel a little thick which makes them seem a bit sticky, but for the first time (on me, anyway) that little bit of stick has actually paid off. These lasted much longer than your average gloss and had a fabulous and creamy pigment. The sponge brush arcs inward for comfortable and easy application.
Out of the two, Troublant is my fave, but really you need them both. In person you can absolutely not pass either one of them up once you swatch them.
Chanel Rouge Allure Extrait de Gloss retail for $32.00 each and are available at Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, and Macys.

Hi! I don’t have a problem with dryness and Chanel, normally. As these fade to the end they’ll feel a bit sticky, but the wand is pretty awesome for easy application.

Suuuure. Blame me. I’m always the likely scapegoat. It’s not my fault that Chanel Troublant is so awesome!M
