We all know I love me some Pro Longwear Lipcremes. So when MAC announced 5 shades (You’re Perfect Already, Love Long Distance, Dear Diary, Booyah!, and Heart Hangover) were releasing with the June 2012 Beth Ditto collection, I nearly lost my Kool-Aid.
From neutral, to bright, to vampy – there is a shade for everyone. For this post, I’ve got two of the shades to share with you – You’re Perfect Already and Booyah!
What the MAC website has to say about Pro Longwear Lipcreme:
Lightweight texture, creamy finish and comfortable longwear combine in this has-it-all pro-class lip colour. Slick in use, applies without need of a top coat- and still lasts up to 12 hours. Won’t feather or transfer, and the colour stays true. Helps lips stay soft and hydrated.

(You’re Perfect Already, Booyah!)
You’re Perfect Already
You’re Perfect Already is described as a neutral pale pink. It’s definitely that, with a milky look to it.
Booyah!
Booyah! is described as bright orange. To me, it’s really not that loud. It goes on as a wearable and bright persimmon. It’s officially my new go to shade for Summer.
The Pro Longwear Lipcreme formula is amazing. The product will glide on creamy and easily. As it sits on the lips it will set and will start to feel sticky. It’s not horribly sticky and you can definitely put up with it. However, I find wearing Pro Longwear lip items layered with a gloss on top is best if you don’t like that feeling.
After some time the Lipcreme will fade, but you’ll be left with a nice stain, especially with the darker and brighter hues. The lighter the hue, the easiest it is to apply, as the shape of the product is round and on the large scale. For darker hues I’ve found it’s best to dab it on then use a lip brush to even it out.
For more information on this collection, please see the Official Press Release as well as the Q & A with Beth Ditto.
MAC Pro Longwear Lipcreme retails for $17.00 and can be purchased at your local MAC counter (try Nordstrom) or store, as well as at maccosmetics.com. Booyah! & You’re Perfect Already are listed as limited edition.

I wanted Booyah! To be…well… BOOYAH! Bright. But it’s not so I’m gonna pass on that one.

I actually like that it’s a toned down version of that hot Summer lip. I had a lot of the tangerine lol
this shade would look amazing on you, Aprill 😉 If you pair it with the coordinating liner (I think entertain me?) it gets CRAZY bright. I’m wearing it on my Beth Ditto Powder to the People post

The Booyah colour is gorgeous! I’ve read some really bad reviews on the Beth Ditto range for Mac, but these swatches look completely different 🙂

I actually haven’t been that disappointed in it! It’s really all in how you use it.

I love Booyah! I keep thinking I should check it out, but I’m being a wimp because I’m worried I’d never want to wear something so bright. It’s a GREAT shade though! Let’s hope it’s still there when I’ve gathered enough courage to check it out!
