I know, it’s still June, but my FAVORITE season for makeup will always be Fall. When I see Fall products, I salivate. It’s really a sight, you should check me out some time.
Dior has gone with a Jungle theme for Fall 2012… Golden Jungle to be exact! I die. Seriously, best.palettes.ever. I’ll have more on that for you later, but for now I want to show you the nail polish that I immediately reached for when I saw the collection – Golden Light #207.

Golden Light is a true gold shimmer with a few other different tones of gold sparsely mixed in. It’s really quite interesting how this one transforms other polishes when layered (which you’ll see soon *wink*) or can be worn by itself with three coats. This would be awesome on your fingers with something like Bengale or Amazonia, also from Fall 2012, on your toes.
As always, the formula on Dior polishes are amazing. Though Golden Light looks like it may be gritty, it’s really smooth. I do recommend a top coat to stave off chipping. Dior also carries my favorite thick, yet tapered brush for application perfection.
Dior has done a lot of gold polishes throughout the years, yet they all seem to just be a smidge different. I pulled the one polish that I thought Golden Light looked the most like in the bottle, which was Timeless Gold from Holiday 2010.
While these two polishes might look similar in the bottle, they are nothing alike on the nail. Timeless Gold is much more of a metallic opaque platinum gold, whereas Golden Light is a more sheer, bright gold with the noticeable mini-glitters.
