DERMAdoctor Ain’t Misbehavin’ Medicated Acne Control Serum Photos & Review

June 18, 2012

Back when I went to Disney World in April I had the “genius” idea to not bring my regular face cleanser from Murad and bring this new sample system (Le Blanc) from Chanel that I had gotten in the mail.  The bottles were cute, small, and it was a new line… so it’s the perfect set to take on travel and test it out.  Two birds, one stone.

OMG, you guys… the painful breakouts of my preggo days came back full force and top speed.  By the third day of vacation I had painful and nasty looking acne again.  Obviously, anyone who has had this type of breakout, knows while it may only take a few days to show up, it takes MONTHS to fully disappear.

When I got home I immediately went to my skin care stash looking for a cure.  Obviously I wanted to go back to my Murad Cleanser (since that works well for me) but wanted to add something in to really knock em dead.  I settled on DERMAdoctor Ain’t Misbehavin’ Medicated Acne Control Serum.

What the Sephora website has to say about Ain’t Misbehavin’ Acne Control Serum:

What it is:
A powerful, healing acne medication.

What it is formulated to do:
Eliminates, clears, and prevents breakouts and helps speed healing by exfoliating pore-plugging debris, curbing bacteria, absorbing excess oils, helping to reduce hormonal influences upon skin, and soothing inflammation.

What else you need to know:
Dermatologist-tested and approved. pH balanced. Non-comedogenic. Soap, oil, fragrance, and dye-free. No animal testing.

Every single day, morning and night, I applied Ain’t Misbehavin’.  I kept it by my bed so that I had no excuses for not applying it religiously.

It didn’t happen overnight, but within a few days the pain and nasty had gone and I was just left with some discoloration marks.  I continued to use Ain’t Misbehavin’ and over the course of another month those have faded as well, with nothing new to report.  And, I’m back.

Another couple of pluses… it didn’t dry out my skin and absorbed in quickly so I could add in my moisturizer after.  It’s also fine to apply your makeup over top of this.

Ain’t Misbehavin’ Medicated Acne Control Serum was just the kick in the pants my face needed after I managed a huge eff up.  If you also need a kick, you can pick this up at Sephora, Ulta, beauty.com,  and Nordstrom for $45.00.
