Every year MAC releases a killer Summer collection that is so huge it’s got to be split into three parts. For Summer 2012, they’re coming out with guns blazing (or anchors, as the case may be) with Hey, Sailor!
Hey, Sailor has a Colour Collection, a Bronzing Collection, and Bags. All five Lipglasses are out of the Colour Collection, and this post will specifically focus on Blessedly Rich Lipglass.
What the MAC website has to say about Hey, Sailor! Lipglass:
Designed to be worn on its own, over Lip Pencil or Lipstick, Tinted Lipglass is the perfect product for creating shine that lasts. It’s pigmented, very shiny and can impart subtle or dramatic colour. Limited edition Lipglass is packaged in blue and white stripes; it’s a match to everything Hey, Sailor!
4.8 g / 0.17 US oz
Blessedly Rich is described as a pale coral. It’s like a copper coral loaded with multi-dimensional pearl. Lot’s of bang for your lip.
MAC Lipglasses tend to run on the sticky side, but I don’t think they’re that bad. Maybe because I’ve dealt with some REALLY sticky glosses. On a scale of 0-5 I’d put them at a 3, with Le Metier de Beaute Sheer Brilliance Gloss (which has no stick) at a 0 and the Butter London Lippy (which are like glue on your lips) at a 5.
Above the lipglass is swatched on my lips by itself, but you can see it here over Saunter Pro Longwear Lip Pencil. It’s one of my new favorite neutral combos!
For more information on this collection, please see the Official Press Release.
MAC Hey, Sailor Lipglass retail for $15.50 and are available at your local MAC Counter or Store, as well as at maccosmetics.com. Blessedly Rich is Limited Edition.

I think MAC just took the “Prrr” Lipglass and named it something else and slapped it in a new collection -_- it looks EXACTLY the same

Ohhh I love Prrr. It’s more of an icy pink shimmer on me. Now I need to go buy this one.. haven’t had it in forever and I miss it!
