The Guerlain line has always featured some amazing looking bronzers. Until now, I’ve never treated myself to one. When the new Summer 2012 Terracotta line released, I couldn’t hold back any longer. Personally, I need another bronzer like I need a hole in the head, but it’s just so difficult to pass up on a product that looks this beautiful, and swatches even more so.
The shade I settled on was Sun Brunettes 05. I went back and forth between this one and Sun Blondes 04, but the Guerlain associate believed that this one would show best on my skin tone.
What the Sephora website has to say about Terracotta Light Bronzing Powder:
Whether you’re a fair blonde or a dark brunette, you’ll love Guerlain’s newest formulation of classic, sunkissed powder. Ideal for all skin types, this ingenious mosaic of five shades of compact powder includes a complexion highlighter to create a natural-looking glow.
Size: 0.35 oz
and of course I had to take a pic in natural light because this packaging is so pretty (and I’m a sucker for pretty)
Sun Brunettes 05 is a deep mix of browns, tan, peach, coral… the perfect harmony of warm bronze with a slight shimmer. More shimmer will show up if you just finger swatch, but as you apply and sheer it out the shimmer will distribute and you’ll hardly see it. (If you click the pic it will enlarge and you can see how the shimmer doesn’t show. I was scared of what I saw when I was swatching in store lol)
To apply this shade you’ll want to use a very light hand. Simply tap your brush on top of the product, dab on the cheek area, and blend. You can always add more if you need to. I’m more of a medium-fair tone, so one time is enough for me!
I’m pretty sure I’ll have to get Sun Blondes 04 as well. I tried it out in the store when I bought Sun Brunettes 05 and almost chose it. If I’d have known how much I was going to love 05 on my face, 04 would have definitely came home today.
Guerlain Terracotta Light Bronzing Powder retails for $50.00 and is available as of March 2012 at select locations of Saks Fifth Avenue, Nordstrom, Neiman Marcus, Sephora, Bloomingdales and Bergdorf Goodman. You can also check online at these retailers.

Hmm… I think I’ll have to try this on! I wasn’t sure of it before but now I want to see it on my face! 🙂
