MAC Eye Kohls are some of my favorite liners. They are soft and easily smudgeable. While three of the four that were released with the Reel Sexy Collection (Heirloom, Hyacinth, and Resort) are limited edition shades (the fourth, Smolder, is permanent), the only one that I had eyes for was Heirloom.
What the MAC website has to say about Eye Kohl:
A soft-on pencil liner that lines, defines and shades the eyes with rich colour and a silky-smooth, matte/pearl finish. Ophthalmologist tested.
1.45 g / 0.05 oz
Heirloom (wink of metallic lavender) is an icy silvered lavender. Like MAC’s other Eye Kohl’s, this one is soft and offers a decent amount of color. Shades that are lighter like Heirloom are great for accenting under the lower lash line to make your eye look come alive. This shade would also make a nice base for your shadows, but I would be sure to put a secondary base underneath.
Many complain that the Eye Kohls are prone to migration, which is true. I have more luck with some than with others. Teddy (an HG of mine for as long as I can remember) and Smolder have always been good to me, but Feline Kohl Power was a real nightmare.
MAC Eye Kohl’s retail for $15.00 each and are available at your local MAC counter or store, as well as at maccosmetics.com.
