Zoya has released their newest shades fresh for Summer 2012 – a set of foil lacquers ready to take the beach by storm!
As usual, there are two parts to this launch – Beach & Surf. For this post I will feature the shades from the Surf Collection – Rory, Kimber, Myrta, Meg, Zuza, and Carly.
Rory is an interesting melody of fuchsia and purple but in a grainy way.. I really don’t even know what to call it! This shade was opaque in one coat, but I added a second coat to even out the texture.
Kimber
Kimber is a vivid pink shade laced with gold. Two coats were used for the swatch photo.
Myrta
Myrta is a muy caliente red-orange foil. The Spanish was added to the description to make it just as hot as a the polish shade itself! Two coats were used for the swatch photo, though one would have sufficed.
Meg
Meg is a bright, grassy green foily shade with a pinch of gold that makes me think of sour apples! Thankfully, it’s much prettier than a sour apple sounds. For this shade I used 2 full coats for opacity.
Zuza
Zuza is a beautiful deep aqua foil. This is literally one of those shades that I love so much that the only way you’ll be able to get it off of me is by prying it out of my cold, dead hand. The first coat was patchy, but with 2 it was perfection.
Carly
Carly is a deep purple laced with red and some blue shimmer. This shade isn’t normally something I’d reach for in the summer, but the sparkle and shine make it a perfect addition to this mini-collection! 2 coats were used in the photo.
Overall, this collection is a total win. Just when I thought I was wearing my favorite, I found another favorite. Zuza is my hands down fave with Carly coming in second, though I really don’t think I could tell you to pass on ANY of them.
Polishes from the Zoya Beach & Suf Collection can be purchased alone for $8 each, or as a set of six for $48.
