Originally launching back in 2004, Naval Blue Pigment makes it’s return (Again! It’s been out several times) with the Spring 2012 MAC ChenMan Love and Water Collection.
What the MAC website has to say about the ChenMan Naval Blue Pigment:
This smoky blue Pigment is a sparkling counterpoint to the blue/pink palette of the M∙A∙C Chenman collection. The Chinese character for love, depicted on the outer sleeve, was created by Chen Man. Limited edition.
4.5 g / 0.15 US oz
Naval Blue (deep smoky blue) is a smoky navy blue frost. This shade has a nice pigment to it, even when sheered out, and can be built up or used wet for more color.
Pigments can be used wet or dry, you’ll get more control and a stronger color when you use the pigments wet (like with MAC Mixing Medium), but I actually prefer them dry. It’s also good to use a firm brush and a patting motion to apply, to help layer the color and prevent as much fall-out as possible.
Naval Blue Pigment retails for $20.00 and is limited edition to the Chenman Collection. Currently this pigment is available on the MAC website, but you can purchase at your local MAC counter or store.
