There is always a love/hate with me regarding the MAC Mineralize Eye Shadows. I think they are GORGEOUS, but not all are up to par on pigment.
On my last mall trip I went to the counter looking for Smutty Green. Basically I wanted it for the name, it just cracks me up because I have the humor of a child. They were sold out, but as I stood there swatching I fell in love with Sweet & Sour.
What the MAC website has to say about Mineralize Eye Shadow Duos:
Two coordinating shades baked together in a single pan. A superb way to experience Mineralize’s unique properties: exceptionally sheer and lightweight application, and easy, rich colour. Finishes include super-fine pearl that leave a soft dimensional shimmer on the skin.

Sweet & Sour (dirty gold with green and deep blue veining/warm gold) is a subtle green and gold mix that is a great product to use when you want to do a quick, but different easy eye look. The green is actually pretty pigmented, even when used dry (like in the swatch and EOTD), but there is a lot of fall out from this duo, even when you use it carefully.
This EOTD was my St. Patrick’s Day EOTD =) I started off with a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion as a base. I then patted on two coats of the green side all over the lid and up through the crease. I took a blending brush and applied the gold side above the crease and up a bit, then using MAC Grain as a highlighter shade. The top liner is MAC Wholesome Fluidline, the bottom liner is Armani Antique Waterproof Eye Liner Pencil. The look is topped off with MAC Plushlash Mascara.
MAC Mineralize Eye Shadow Duos retail for $20.00 each and are available at maccosmetics.com, as well as at your local MAC counter (try Nordstrom) or store.
