MAC always finds the most intriguing people to collaborate with. Sometimes I personally have never heard of them, but the fun products that are featured in these collections always inspire me to do my research.
If you search the words “Vera” and “Artist” you’re going to get a TON of hits, most of them not who you’re looking for. The artist that is known as Vera, is actually Vera Neumann. A description from the book Vera: The Art and Life of an Icon (which I thought said it best) “Legendary designer and artist Vera Neumann (1907–1993) believed in art’s ability to inspire and enrich lives. An innovator and one of the most successful female entrepreneurs of her time, Vera built her company on a radical philosophy: fine art should be accessible to everyone, not just a select few. Known for her iconic images of cheerful flowers, trendy geometrics, and vibrant ladybugs, she believed people should surround themselves with beauty.”
In the collaboration with MAC we see a lot of what Vera was known for. In the Vera Collection five Plushglass glosses are available – Butterfly Dream, Pretty Plush, Fashion Fanatic, Confetti, and On A Holiday.
What the MAC website has to say about Plushglass:
Sheer lip colour with a pearlized high-shine gloss finish. Comfortable to wear: lush, multi-dimensional. Gives a cool-warm, vanilla buzz to the lips. Moisturizes, soothes and visibly plumps the lips to make them look luxuriously healthy and well-conditioned. Contains vitamin E for added environmental protection.
4.2 ml / 0.14 fl oz
Fashion Fanatic (creamy pale pink) is a sheer milky pink with a very slight shimmer. This will pale out your lips and will likely look best on darker skin tones.
Confetti
Confetti (bright orange coral with soft pearl) is a sheer coral with a dusting of shimmer and my favorite out of the three. It offers just a smidge of pigment and I love how this one twinkles.
On A Holiday
On A Holiday (bright pink with blue pearl) is basically just a sheer gloss on me with a slight tinge of pink. The blue shimmers don’t show up on the lip but the gloss does add a nice dimension.
Personally, I love and have always loved Plushglass. They are a little stickier than lipglass but not as thick. I love the tingling feeling that they give off after they’ve been on your lips for a few minutes and they look great over a lipstick (they’re lighter and won’t smear the lipstick around as much as another gloss). This product will be a matter of preference, though. You have to like that feeling and you also have to be okay with the fact that they are on the sheer side of the spectrum but cost more than a lipglass AND you’re getting less product.
MAC Plushglass retails for $19.50 and is available at maccosmetics.com as well as at MAC counters (try Nordstrom) and stores.

I’ve got Butterfly Dream, and I love the sparkle in that one! I layered it over Sweetie, and it’s probably my current favorite combination! I love Confetti too. Should try to lay my hands on that lol
