Dior CHERIE BOW, FIREWORKS Addict Extreme Lipstick Swatches and Review

March 8, 2012

Addict much?  Yep, that’s me with my Dior Addict Extreme Lipsticks!  Cherie Bow 356 and Fireworks 756 mark numbers three and four to my collection, and I’m bound and determined to own all of them!

What the Sephora website has to say about Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick:

What it is:
An extremely long-wearing lipstick that provides radiant shine.

What it does:
This long-wearing lipstick goes the distance, resisting fading while adding bold color and beautiful shine. The expert formula combines waxes, radiant oils, and hyaluronic microspheres for ultimate comfort and a lip-plumping effect.

Size: 0.12 oz

Cherie Bow

Cherie Bow is a gorgeous peachy nude.  An easy reach for any look whether it be neutral or smoky.

Fireworks

Fireworks is juicy cherry red.  Almost like you just ate a red popsicle. This one has just the right amount of pigment to still be sheer (as far as a red goes) and glossy while not turning a fuchsia color the moment it hits your lips.  This is a shade I’ve been looking for longer than I care to admit.

The formula is moisturizing, and when layered offers a nice pigment.  It really does give the appearance of plumping.

I didn’t find this lipstick to be any more long-wearing than a regular lustre type of lipstick, but even after the moisture was fading (a few hours) and the color was starting to dull, I still had some pigment to my lips.

Out of all of the lipsticks from Dior I’ve tried (and loved!) Addict Extreme is my favorite, basically because it’s the most “me”.  I love a light and smooth lip, even when wearing bold colors, it should be light.  I’m not always comfortable with thick or deep lips, so a formula like this makes all shades wearable.

The outer packaging is gorgeously sleek, and I find it much more appealing in the blue casing over the silver of the other Addict Lipsticks.

Dior Addict Extreme Lipstick retails for $30.00 and is available at Sephora, Nordstrom and Dior.com.  Please see the Official Press Release for more information.

I basically want all of these (especially interested in the darker ones for wearablility!), so keep your eyes out for more posts!

I think I need Cherie Bow! I love Fireworks as well, but I already own something similar while I don’t own my perfect nude yet!

Out of curiosity, (that and building my wish list for Nordies next week), which do you prefer Cherrry Bow or Incognito? I was searching all swatches for these last night, trying to tell myself I don’t need all 12, cuz my husband would be reaaaaallly mad.

How could you make me choose?! lol I guess it depends on what you like more. Cherie Bow is more “me” with the peachy lip, but Incognito is SO EASY. I guess I would say Incognito. But it kills me to choose lol Out of the four I have… Incognito, Cherie Bow, Fireworks, and Lucky in that order. *dies*

I love Fireworks. I like how it is bold, but yet still sheer!
