Slowly but surely I’m working my way into getting all of these Bare Escentuals pressed eye shadows. I’ve never had much luck with their loose shadows, so I’m excited for the fact that the READY shadows are more wearable for me (the loose always faded very quickly no matter what I did, even with different primers) and are much more long lasting.
For today, I have the duo in The Showstopper.

The Showstopper (periwinkle/jeweled lavender) includes two shades Bravo (left) and Encore (right). Bravo looks to be more of a silvered baby blue and Encore has flashes of that shade set in a deep eggplant color. The shades are frosty, but still wearable.
I found both shades to be easy to wear and blend, with nice pigment. For the eye look I took a fluffy brush and blended the two shades together to create the lid color. Using the same fluffy brush I applied Encore to the crease and outer V. Still using the same brush I dipped into Bravo and applied to the inner corners and up to highlight. The liner is Chanel Violet Smoke Le Crayon Yeux with Encore smudged lightly over top, and the mascara is Armani Eyes to Kill.
By the way I applied for this look I did go for a simple wash of color. You can use a firmer brush and different application technique to pull more pigment, especially from Encore.
Bare Escentuals bareMinerals Ready Eyeshadow 2.0 retail for $20 each and are available at Sephora and Ulta.

These swatch so gorgeous and apply so sheer. I wish they were more pigmented when applied on the eye.

this one is a bit more pigmented than my eye shows. I used a fluffy brush for the whole thing rather than a firmer brush to apply the lid color. I was headed to a Pampered Chef party so I didn’t want to be all sultry 😉 haha
