Inspired by The Hunger Games, China Glaze is launching a stellar 12 piece collection, which has become highly anticipated!
I haven’t read the books, so I can’t say I’m a super-fan… but seeing this collection and checking out the colors has me wanting to read the books and watch the upcoming movie!
Out of the 12 shades released I have already reviewed 4 of them – Hook and Line, Fast Track, Harvest Moon, and Stone Cold. I stopped in to Sally Beauty Supply last night before heading into the grocery store and they had a display out! Some were already sold out, but I was able to get my hands on Smoke and Ashes, Luxe and Lush, and Riveting. Since I haven’t read the books, I’m not sure of the meanings and if the shades match up with their names, but I hope you enjoy the swatches
Smoke and Ashes (Black-based teal with multicolored shimmer) is a stunner in the bottle as well as out. The formula is amazing and only one coat of polish was needed for the photos!
Luxe and Lush
Luxe and Lush (A high octane flaky overcoat) is shown here on top of Smoke and Ashes. It looks like a stained glass window exploded all over my nails. I was apprehensive that I wouldn’t like this flaky, and it is more high maintenance with a bit of maneuvering needed, but it just looks amazing, I’m in love! I used one coat for the pictures.
Riveting
Riveting (bright orange shimmer) is not a polish that I thought I would want from this collection. In person I couldn’t pass it up! The gold just explodes out of the orange and makes it irresistible! I needed 2 coats for full opacity, one coat was okay, but you could still see some visible nail line.

I knew the other two are fantastic, but Riveting is STUNNING! Anything with golden shimmer has my name on it lol
