When Le Metier de Beaute releases a new lip gloss, it’s a safe bet I’m going to pick it up. The formula has always been top notch and the colors wearable.
Just in time for Beauty Week at Neiman Marcus, LMdB has released the Jet Set Collection, which is a mini resort collection consisting of 2 Sheer Brilliance Lip Gloss and 3 Nail Polish shades. I picked up both glosses and am pleased to bring you Hibiskiss and Orange Juiced!!
What the Neiman Marcus website has to say about The Jet Set Collection Sheer Brilliance Lip Gloss:
Two bright, color-infused lip glosses glaze the lip with sheer color intensity round out The Jet Set collection in high-impact shades that deliver delicious, gossamer color.
Orange Juiced and HibisKiss
Ultra-lightweight and enriched with emollients and antioxidants, including Vitamin E and Lanolin, Sheer Brilliance lip glosses drench lips in sumptuous, punchy semi-translucent glossy color.
Sheer Brilliance’s unique, silky texture and easy-glide formula is never heavy, sticky or tacky.
Hibiskiss
Hibiskiss is a juicy, light berry shaded pink. As the much more pigmented of the duo, Hibiskiss packs a punch alone or on top of your favorite high octane pink shade.
Orange Juiced
Orange Juiced is a sheer papaya shade with golden shimmer. I REALLY have it layered above to show the color. This is a beautiful shade, but I do wish it had some more pigment. To get the color to show up well, I suggest adding it on top of a coral or peachy hue.
Overall, I love this duo of Sheer Brilliance Lip Gloss from the Jet Set Collection. They are different, and a lot brighter than we’re used to from this brand. As usual, they are not sticky in the least and this lip gloss remains my favorite gloss to date.
Le Metier de Beaute Sheer Brilliance Lip Gloss retails for $32.00. The Jet Set Collection is only available at Neiman Marcus and Bergdorf Goodman. These are limited edition.
For more information on The Jet Set Collection, please see the official press release.
PS – Right now through March 5, 2012 is the Neiman Marcus Beauty Event. If you spend $100+ you get a cute bag full of goodies (I got the gold bag and was more impressed with the quality than I thought!) and if you spend $125 on Le Metier de Beaute you get an exclusive Lip Creme in Red Velvet (to be reviewed)!

I love Hibiskiss, but I already own a couple of sheer juicy reds (time to explore the more opaque ones perhaps?).

I love these colors! I wish they weren’t so sheer…more lipstick like.

The Lip Cremes are nice and thick, and also aren’t sticky! They’re a few dollars more but they’ll give you a nice pigment 😉
