The February 2012 Birchbox was pretty disappointing. It’s like they had to make up for how awesome the January 2012 Birchbox was. This months Birchbox was designed to highlight your awesomeness.
~ dermalogica Daily Mircrofoliant
~ EYE ROCK Designer Liner
~ Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint
~ Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum
~ Nail File (Lifestyle Extra)
~ Digital Download (Lifestyle Extra)
The demalogica Daily Microfoliant is kind of cool. It’s a powder (think baby powder like) that turns into sort of a paste on your face. It feels ok and I’m glad to try it, because it’s different. I can’t speak to long-term effects, since I don’t have enough to use for 6-8 weeks.
The EYE ROCK Designer Liner is hilarious. I tried this and laughed the ENTIRE TIME. If you can get em on, then they’re cool, but I had to keep repositioning and by the time it looked semi-decent it wasn’t staying on well because I had to move it so much. I think if you’re comfortable applying false lashes, this might be easier for you. Here are a few more pics of this product:
I tried the crazy liner on the far right because I did want to show a pic, but it just wasn’t working out. Sorry!
The Jouer Luminizing Moisture Tint is my favorite thing from this months box. It’s a shame the sample is so tiny. It’s also a shame when I opened the tube I accidentally squeezed half of it out onto my bedspread and wasted a good part of it. And it stained my bedspread. Boo. It is nice and luminizing though. Just ask my comforter.
The Juice Beauty Blemish Clearing Serum is nice, and I do hope it works. I’ve only used it once but so far I like. Once again, since this is a skin care item, I can’t speak to the long term effects because it’s a small sample…. but if I see any sort of improvement on my spot treating I would splurge on the full size.
The two lifestyle extras I won’t use. I use a glass nail file only (my nails have enough problems) and I’m not into indie bands.
Overall, this month was pretty blah. I’m still going to continue with the subscription, because as it goes on it IS worth it. Every month isn’t stellar, but I still have fun getting the mail and seeing what goodies I can try out! It’s nice you can earn points towards free full sized products too!
Wanna sign up for Birchbox? (Click for referral) If you like what you see go to the website and fill out the form. It’s just $10 a month (free shipping too!) and you get some cool stuff, tho I will warn you, you’re going to get stuff you hate as well. All in all, for the $10 it’s worth it. I love getting mail! haha
***Disclosure – I buy my own Birchbox, but the link posted in the above paragraph does give me referral points which I can use toward product on the site. Once you sign up for your own Birchbox, you’ll also get a referral code to send out to others and get some points of your own

Not a very impressive box. Although the Dermalogica Daily Microfoliant is really a great product 🙂

I’m saving the eye decals for St.Patty’s day. Hope I can get them on right. They looked really fun.

Wow…just when I thought about getting back into it again. Naw…this one is a disappointment. I think it needed one more sample to make if seem worth it.
