Urban Decay makes a nice variety of setting sprays (All Nighter, Dew Me, De-Slick), but how to choose the one that is good for you? I spoke to a friend of mine who does a lot of events, and he told me to use De-Slick over the others with big eyes and a real serious look on his face. I went for it, because he knows his stuff.
What the Sephora website has to say about Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray:
What it is:
A hypoallergenic makeup setting spray that helps keep oily complexions under control. What it does:
In an exclusive partnership with SKINDINÄVIA,Urban Decay developed De-Slick Makeup Setting Spray for customers who need their makeup to last. This high-tech, hypoallergenic formula keeps skin looking beautifully matte all day, without clogging pores or causing breakouts. The weightless mist absorbs excess sebum and controls surface shine, leaving your makeup looking fresh and newly applied. Your makeup won’t melt when it’s hot or become dehydrated and cracked when it’s cold and windy because Urban Decay’s patent-pending Temperature Control Technology, which lowers the temperature of your makeup to hold foundation, eye shadow, blush, and concealer in place. What it is formulated WITHOUT:
– Parabens
– Sulfates
– Synthetic Dyes
– Petrochemicals
– Phthalates
– GMOsWhat else you need to know:
The sprayer, unlike others on the market, delivers a micro-fine mist that distributes product evenly over the skin.Research results:
-Four out of five women surveyed in clinical testing agreed that De-Slick is the lightest oil control product they’ve ever used, it didn’t dry out their skin, and it effectively battles shine.
-81.8% of customers say product gave the complexion a healthy-looking glow
-78.8% of customers said product helped makeup from creasing
-75.7% of customers said makeup looked as good at end of the day as at the beginning of the day
De-Slick provides a nice glow to your skin while still holding your makeup in place throughout the day. I did notice a difference in the wear of my makeup when I used this product. I didn’t need to touch up my powder as quickly or as frequently throughout the day. My t-zone gets pretty oily, so I still needed to reapply a bit, but you could do this easily with your powder or with blotting papers.
Make sure you follow the directions and shake before using, and hold the appropriate length away from your face.
The best part about this is that it’s unscented and is not sticky at all. I use this when I know I have a full day ahead of me (and with kids there is little to no time to stop and re-apply) and have been pleased with the results.
Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray retails for $29.00 and you can pick it up at Sephora and Ulta.

but how does it feel in your skin is it itchy? i had it with one primer I used I felt my skin itchy
Brooke says
It actually just felt like water misting on my skin. My skin is pretty sensitive to product and I can get some mean breakouts. I’ve had a lot of luck using this product to set makeup decently
Andrea says
