In early February you read about my expensive brow woes. I love the Dior DiorShow Brow Styler… but I don’t love the price tag and how fast I go through it. While at Ulta, I was recommended the Benefit Brow Zings set by a Benefit rep. The concept was close to what I was looking for, but I didn’t like the colored wax. I exchanged the set for a set with clear wax. Enter the Anastasia Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes.

I’d used the Anastasia Powder for brows before I had my kids and after the first one came along. With my second child half of an eye brow took it upon itself to disappear completely for awhile, which was what prompted me to switch to the Dior. In order to shape my eye brows better with the Dior, I purchased the Anastasia Brow Stencils back in October. These have been working out well for me, but it still left me with going through the Dior pencil in 3 weeks and taking forever to fill my brows in. As a mom, I need something a little quicker, easier, and CHEAPER.
When I went back to Ulta, I headed directly to Anastasia, since I’d had such luck with them in the past. And, let’s face it, most of us think Anastasia when we think brows anyway. I immediately started looking at the sets and my eyes fell on the Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes. It had everything I wanted. Clear wax, the brow duo I’d used in the past, pretty highlight shades, the stencils I liked, AND a brush…. all in a pretty case. Score.
I’m very pleased with this set. I find it easier to initially apply the wax with my finger, then I mix the two colors of powder to fill in using the brush provided. After I swipe on some clear brow gel and go! I only need to use the stencils for when I want a more refined arch. You may find that the stencils don’t exactly match your brow shape. But the trick is to place them and just use them as a guide, rather than think you can just place them on your forehead and color in.
The Anastasia Beauty Express for Brows and Eyes retails for $39.50, which I think is an excellent price for everything you’re getting (the stencils are $20 just on their own!) and this will last you much longer than a pencil. This set is available in two shades – Brunette (shown in this post), and Blonde. You may have to mix the shades provided to get your ideal color match. Find this and other awesome products from Anastasia at Sephora and Ulta.
can somebody whit almost black hair use this one?
I believe you could, but you would likely have to stick to the right side (the darkest color) rather than mix them up like I do. My natural hair color is a dark brown!
Thanks for the lovely review.
I’ve been debating purchasing this after having an Anastasia Eyebrow service done (highly recommend) I really feel like eyebrows are something we don’t invest enough time and money into and it really is worth it. I better just bite the bullet and grab this.
Great review! This set looks really nice.
This reminds me of Benefit Brows a-go-go, only with a better brush and stencils! Would you consider showing us a tutorial of how you use this? I saw this at the airport at some point but wasn’t sure I’d know how to use the stencils right lol
once I get the whole video camera thing figured out I’ll put that on the list!! the stencils are bendy and super easy!
