Hello, again!! Before I get into the post, I want to apologize for the absence. We had some construction going on in the house and the computer was down for a few days. I was able to get to my mother in laws in the morning and keep up with the press releases (which is why that’s all you’ve been seeing for a few days) but all of my pics and such were on my personal computer. The first day of work I had posts scheduled. I didn’t do anything longer because it was only supposed to take a day. We’re, of course, on day 4!
The comp is back up now, hopefully for good! For the first post back I’ve got another Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream, this time in my favorite eye color – TAUPE!
What the Sephora website has to say about Aqua Cream:
What it is:
An ultra-pigmented, long-lasting waterproof cream.What it does:
Aqua Cream combines the highest-quality pigments with mother of pearl particles to give immediate rich color payoff with a luminous finish in just one application. It’s long-lasting formulation will not crease or smudge under the most extreme conditions and its creamy and elastic texture allows for easy blending. What else you need to know:
Available in shades ranging from soft neutrals to pure bright tones, you can find the perfect color for any purpose.
Shades #5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 are formulated for the Lips & Cheeks.
Shades #1, 2, 3, 4, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 20, 21, and 22 are formulated for the Eyes & Cheeks.Sephora is the exclusive beauty retailer for this product.
Size: 0.21 oz
Taupe (taupe brown shimmer) is a very brown taupe and looks gorgeous on. It’s number is 15, and in the listing that states that it’s formulated for eyes and cheeks. This isn’t a shade I’d personally put on my cheeks, though I guess darker skin tones could contour? (Please let me know in the comments how you would use this on your cheeks!). On the eyes, Taupe is gorgeous. I wore it the other day under the Dior Granville Garden Clutch and it was really understated and nice.
By request 😉 here is an eye look using MUFE Taupe Aqua Cream
I applied MUFE Taupe Aqua Cream all over the lid and through the crease as my base. For shadows, I used the shades from the Dior Granville Garden Clutch. I applied the pink shade all over the lid, the brown shade in the crease, above the crease and outer V, and the white shade in the inner corner and to highlight. The liner is MAC Added Goodness and the mascara is Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill.
If you want to check out a bright look, I did swatches and a tutorial of #10 Orange Aqua Cream last week.
Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream retails for $22.00 and is available at Sephora.

OK, that’s it. I’ve heard too much about Aqua Cream now, and your EOTD did it for me. Must hunt this down! I like how it’s more brown than gray, which will probably make it easier for my warm-toned skin to pull it off.

I think you’ll love it! It’s a good shade to wear daily!

BEAUTIFUL! why no EOTD pic my darling? I have been debating purchasing this little gem, but cream shadows end up not being loved as much by me. It truly is a great shade and glad to hear it preforms so well!

I know! I wanted to but it was on the first day of the guys working on the house that I wore it AND I was helping at the v-day party at my sons school AND I got a flat tire LMAO. V-day from hell! I’ll do another look today with it and just do a FOTD post since hubs and I are doing dinner tonight. I can’t believe you don’t have this!
Pink Sith says
Awesome! You have gone above & beyond! Your EOTD looks amazing. Sorry about your crummy Valentine’s day. Hopefully your date night w/ hubby is a romantic one! 😀 And Yeah. I know. I can’t believe I don’t have this either.
Brooke says
