Shop MAC, Cook MAC has brought us three extremely wonderful Eye Shadow Quads – Call Me Bubbles, Shop & Drop, and Colour Added.
I had the opportunity to swatch these all in person at Nordstrom, and they are all wonderful. Whichever quad suits your fancy the best, will be a hit. I chose two of them that I thought I’d get the most use out of but I really, really want the third. For now, we’ll be checking out Shop & Drop!
What the MAC website has to say about Shop & Drop Eye Shadow Quad:
A violet inspired quartet of shades to turn that shopping aisle into a high fashion runway. More than a snack, a colourful buffet! Comes ready to go in the signature packaging of Shop M·A·C. Limited edition!
Shop & Drop is a cool mix of pink, purples, and blues. The four shades are – Sugar Snack (light pink, matte); Hypnotizing (frosted greyed mauve, frost); Power Boosted (violet, veluxe pearl); and Shop & Drop (deep blue, satin).
Sugar Snack is the perfect highlight to offset the deep look that you will most likely create with this palette. It can also be used as a lid color with Hypnotizing in the crease for a more subdued look.
Hypnotizing reminds me of a better version of Illegal Cargo, but much more easy to use with a better pigment.
Power Boosted is a shadow and more subdued version of violet pigment. It didn’t pat on as pigmented on the lid as it swatched on the arm, but the effect was still gorgeous. I was actually glad it was lighter than I anticipated, because it made a nice lid color for the smoky look.
Shop & Drop is a satiny navy shade with subdued shimmer. I had some fall out with this one, but it was really easy to use and blend.
Overall, though this quad looks deep and dark, it can really be rather versatile. The whole palette works well together. Shop & Drop Eye Shadow Quad is hands down my favorite out of the two quads that I purchased from this collection.
For this EOTD I started out using a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion. Taking a 239 I patted Power Boosted all over the lid leaving the inner corner bare. Taking a 219 I added Shop & Drop to the crease and outer V. Using the 226 I picked up a bit more of Shop & Drop to blend with. With a 272 brush I added Hypnotizing to the inner corner and above the crease to blend out Shop & Drop. I used Sugar Snack to highlight. I lined top and bottom with Midnight Snack Fluidline and added a mix of Hypnotizing and Shop & Drop with a 266 brush underneath the outer edge of the lower lash line. I capped off the look with MAC Plushlash Mascara.
MAC Shop & Drop retails for $38.00 and can be found at maccosmetics.com, as well as at MAC counters (try Nordstrom) and stores nationwide.

Gorgeous eye look! I’m really loving Hypnotizing & Power Boosted…beautiful!
I’m wearing this quad again today with Added Goodness f/l! When I went to buy VG Nicki yesterday the girl mixed the top two shades together with a cat eye and it looked amazing. I had to try it!
Hypnotizing was a single LE shadow before. When I saw your review I thought “I need to buy the palette just for this color” so I’m thrilled to find out it’s a shade I have.
What a quad! Color-wise it’s my favorite out of the 3, and it’s nice to know it works so well 🙂 Love your EOTD too!
thank you!
I find Hypnotising really pretty!
