Shop MAC, Cook MAC has brought us three extremely wonderful Eye Shadow Quads – Call Me Bubbles, Shop & Drop, and Colour Added.
I had the opportunity to swatch these all in person at Nordstrom, and they are all wonderful. Whichever quad suits your fancy the best, will be a hit. I chose two of them that I thought I’d get the most use out of but I really, really want the third. For now, we’ll be checking out Call Me Bubbles!
What the MAC website has to say about Call Me Bubbles Eye Shadow Quad:
Fresh Daily! With this Shop M·A·C compact of four cool-n-spicy coral eye shadows, eyes find their look-du-jour! Easy to spot in its delicious Shop M·A·C packaging. Limited edition!
Call Me Bubbles is a bold blend of four eye shadows – Call Me Bubbles (light tan, satin); Fresh Daily (orange, frost); Full of Flavour (coral, matte); Brash (frosty reddish copper, veluxe pearl).
Call Me Bubbles seems rather sheer on the swatch, but applies so nicely as a highlight and inner corner pop to make the eyes appear bigger. It’s a surprise favorite from this quad!
Fresh Daily is more of a sheer orange, and those a little timid to wear this color will find this an easy one to break the ice on.
Full of Flavour is a pinked coral with nice usage for a matte. It’s actually my least favorite from this set, though, because it just doesn’t go well with the quad. For my eye look I used it and it looked like crap with the other three, so instead I used the three other shadows for an EOTD and used Full of Flavour as a blush shade (of which it looks remarkably nice as!). I guess that makes this almost like a full face palette, rather than just an eye shadow quad!
Brash is a repromoted shade, so you may want to check your stash for this. If you don’t have it, I do suggest getting it since I’m partial to all veluxe pearls 😉 They are the easiest to work with, so if you’re warm toned and can pull off a brassier shade, it will be perfect for you!
Overall, the quality and pigment of this quad was amazing, as was on all of the others. It was hard to choose! Lately the quads have been meh.. so the ones from this collection are a welcome return to what MAC is known best for.
Call Me Bubbles Eye Shadow Quad is not for the faint of heart. I love all of the shades separately, but will likely not use them together again. I thought the eye look needed a darker and more refined shade to tone it down a bit.
For this EOTD I started out using a thin layer of Urban Decay Primer Potion. I took Fresh Daily and applied it all over the lid and through the crease. Next I added in Brash to the crease and outer V. Call Me Bubbles was used in the inner corner and to highlight. I lined top and bottom with Added Goodness Fluidline and added a bit more of Brash underneath the outer edge of the lower lash line. I capped off the look with MAC Plushlash Mascara.
MAC Call Me Bubbles retails for $38.00 and can be found at maccosmetics.com, as well as at MAC counters (try Nordstrom) and stores nationwide.

I thought the colors look a bit uninspiring, but when I saw your EOTD I was sold! Such a gorgeous and fun look!
