Chanel knows how to celebrate!
With the renovation of the Chanel Boutique in the Galleria of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, four Limited Edition and Exclusive items were created: Lucky Stripes, a compact with four shades of sand and bronze to be worn on eyes, face or cheekbones; Rouge Coco Shine in Brilliant, a sheer golden lip shade; Le Crayon Lèvres Vegas Gold, a gold lip pencil; and Le Vernis in Gold Fingers.
Lucky Stripes is a melange of golds, peaches, and bronze shades and can be used as a bronzer, illuminator, and shadow. These shades blended nicely on both the eyes and the cheeks. I experienced little fall out (nothing to really be concerned with) and thought the mixture of the colors on the eyes and on the cheeks made for a sheer and luminous warm golden effect.
Below I swatched a few of the shades together to show the different ways that this powder can be used on the cheeks.
Starting on the left is the bronze and peach shade mixed, the second is the golds and white mixed, the third is the peach and gold mixed, and on the far right side is all of the colors blended together.
I’m not real happy with these pictures of the FOTD and EOTD. I have been at this picture thing for hours and I cannot even begin to capture how beautiful this powder is on the eyes and cheeks in person. I used Lucky Stripes on the cheeks by using the 2 left shades as a contour and then smiling to apply all of the shades on the apples of the cheeks and to blend. I used the included brush for both application processes. The liner is Chanel Brun Le Crayon Yeux and the mascara is Giorgio Armani Eyes to Kill. On the lips is Dior Or Etoile Lipstick and Dior Apricot Cloche Addict Lip Gloss.
On the eye, the frosty peach shade was used on the lid and through the crease; the dark bronze shade was used as a crease and outer V color; the gold was used for inner corners and above the crease; and the white was used to highlight. I also used some of the gold under the lower lash line.
This powder is ONLY available at the Chanel Boutique in the Galleria of the Bellagio Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. I am unsure whether or not it’ll end up online. So far, I’m hearing no, I’ll keep my eyes and ears open!
Lucky Stripes retails for $95.00. If you want to call to the Chanel Boutique to order the phone number is 702-765-5505. I spoke with Kathleen and she was super nice You can also ask for Giselle. A tip – if you don’t have a Chanel Boutique in your state (which I don’t) there is no tax on the product, however shipping is $11.95 for Fed-Ex and be aware you WILL need to sign for it.
You make this look so pretty!! 🙂 I’m so glad I got this in a blog sale now, i cant wait for mine to arrive
thank you! It’s pricey, but I think if you can use it daily multiple ways it’ll pay for itself 😉 at least, thats what I tell myself lol
What an excellent review! Thank you for the thoroughness of your description and the extra effort to include a contact number at the Bellagio. The photos are wonderful, too.
thank you!! <3
The shades look lovely, but the price is terrifying. I wonder if it’s similar to L’Oreal’s One Sweep shadow they came out with recently?
the one sweep shadows are horrible! I reviewed one awhile back. Beauty Broadcast on youtube reviewed them too when they first came out and didn’t like them either
Amazing product great review and you look so amazing.
So pretty, Brooke!!! You know I’ve been waiting for this post and it’s been so worth it!! Very beautiful on you.
thank you!!!
So pretty! I want this real bad.
I love how it looks in the packaging…so pretty I don’t think I could even use it 😛 but it is kinda pricey. It looks very luxurious!
Gorgeous Brooke! I love the way it looks on your eyes especially! Stunning! 🙂
thanks, girl!
This is beautiful on you! I really don’t know why you’re complaining about the photos! Was it easy to use this as eyeshadows though? What brush(es) did you use?
yup! they were really nice to apply. I used my usual MAC brushes, 239, 219, 226, and 272 I believe
Oh my…I was really trying not to buy too much more makeup for spring, but I definitely need this! Thanks for the pics and review!
Its soo pretty! But I can’t justify the price 🙁 I wish it was $58 like the normal powders…
This is so beautiful! I’ll be in Vegas over the summer, but I bet it will be gone by then. Then again, I really don’t need to spend $100 on one item anyway, even if it’s really really beautiful!
