It has been SO hard to wait to share these pics with you. I already did a nail post yesterday when I did these swatches, so I didn’t want to spam you with more… but DAMN do I love this polish…
I literally could not stop taking pictures of the Essie Shine of the Times Luxeffects Nail Polish from the Essie Holiday 2011 Collection. Take a look at these pics, then we can talk. All (except bottle pics) were taken outdoors with no flash. It was a little overcast. All of the flash photos drowned out the gorgeousness of the polish, so I just included several from outside.
Essie Shine of the Times over Essie Power Clutch
Essie Shine of the Times over Essie Very Structured
I think it’s safe to say this is one of my favorite polishes. The combo with Power Clutch is my FAVE. It just turned out so unbelievable… I hate to gush so much… but wow. And Very Structured paired up with Shine of the Times looks like the leaves changing in the middle of a fire!
Shine of the Times is joining many awesome flakies, especially lately. I like Shine of the Times even better than similar products from Sally Hansen and Finger Paints. The flakie consistency just feels and looks thicker and lays better.
I read through the comments on Scrangie’s blog and it was stated the Luxeffects are a permanent addition! YAY!
Essie Luxeffects Nail Polishes retail for $8.00 each and can be found at Ulta and at drugstores.
What do you think of this collection?
It will be rare to find competent individuals within this issue, however you seem like you are aware of what you are posting about! Regards
The product is really amazing and the colors are incredible hot.
That polish is really pretty. It seems very versatile.
It looks like I’ll have to go out and grab this fabulous flakies ASAP!!!
I’m not really a fan of shimmer, glitter etc… But this is WOW!! <3
I love this polish so much. I tend to use it over OPI’s Grape Set Match. I got it off transdesign earlier this month for $4 because they are having a 1/2 off sale on Essie polishes. the discount applies weirdly though. I ended up purchasing it at full price, and they refunded $4 for the sale price. They said the sale would be going on for a few months, so I don’t care if it was awkward, Essie for $4! LOL
