Essie POWER CLUTCH and VERY STRUCTURED Nail Polish Swatches and Review – Brand New Bag Collection Fall 2011

January 25, 2012

Well, of course I know I am SO late with these shades.  I’ve had them since the release and wasn’t feeling motivated to swatch them.

Fall is my favorite time of year, hands down, for all things beauty.  Makeup, nail, fashion… Fall is IT for me.

Essie Nail Polish released the Brand New Bag Collection for Fall 2011 and I thought every single shade was gorgeous.  At the time, I was only able to grab two of them.  I intended to review immediately, but you know how life gets and they slowly got buried in my “to do” box.  When I purchased another Essie (which will be posted tomorrow and is TO DIE FOR) I remembered these two and dug them out, excitement renewed.

The two Essie Nail Polishes I have to review for you today are Power Clutch and Very Structured.

Power Clutch

Power Clutch is a greyed deep evergreen cream shade.  The formula was magnificent and it was opaque in 2 coats.

Very Structured

Very Structured is a burnt sienna rusty cream.  This is literally one of the prettiest shades of nail polish I’ve ever seen.  My only gripe is that the formula was rather runny.  This was opaque in 2 coats.

Overall, I was in love with this whole collection and was very happy with the two shades I chose.  I’d love to get my hands on the rest.  Darn me for taking so long to play with these!  Grrrrrrrr!

Essie Nail Polishes retail for $8.00 each, give or take a few cents, since you can find them in drugstores now for a little less.  I don’t believe these polishes are still available (am unsure of LE status), but there might be a few floating around that you can find.  I know I plan to check Ulta tomorrow!
