I can’t tell you how long I’ve been wanting to try Illamasqua Nail Varnish. The price point isn’t too high, and the reviews have pretty much all been astounding… but it’s so hard to get on board with something you can’t look at in person. During the recent 20% Sephora VIB sale, I finally went for it and ordered my very first Illamasqua Nail Varnish in Viridian.

Viridian (peacock green/metallic finish) is likely one of the most gorgeous polishes I’ve ever put on my nails. It’s a shimmery metallic green with flecks of blue and green woven in. It is a bit streaky, but because of the shimmer it isn’t TOO noticeable. The above swatch is only two coats.
My only gripe with this polish is the cap. The square shape is really awkward to hold. Application is easy once you get the grip right, but it’s not as pleasant of a hold as say, something from OPI.
All in all, I’m really happy with my first Illamasqua polish, and I absolutely plan to purchase a few more!

I love love love Viridian! Such a gorgeous color! I only have about 3 Illamasqua polishes but I love all three of them!
It is a shame about the streaks. This colour is gorgeous!
Hmmm…It does appear a bit streaky, but the color is very nice. Hope it doesn't chip easily, like it claims.

I haven't tried any Illamasqua polishes but I really like this one. It looks very festive.
