For Spring 2012, Chanel released a new quad, Eclosion, with their Les Harmonies de Printemps de Chanel Collection. I was so excited to see a new quad with this collection, as I was pretty disappointed that one wasn’t included with the stunning Holiday 2011 launch.
What Chanel.com has to say about Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow:
One essential compact offers unlimited eye looks, with shade combinations that range from matte to satin to shimmer. Versatile smudge-proof formula can be applied dry for subtle shading, or dampened for more intense colour, all with long-wearing results — in even extreme climates. Dermatologist tested.
Eclosion is a demure quad of 3 light shades and one smoldering deep plum. All of the shades swatched extremely soft and wore well. I had quite a bit of glitter fall out with the top right shade (white gold with gold glitter) and some fall out with the bottom right shade (deep plum). The top left shade (peachy) would also make a nice blush. The swatches above are done dry, with no primer.
For the FOTD I’ll be posting later I did a very wearable look using all 4 colors, but you could REALLY glam it up by pairing this quad with Ebloui Illusion D’Ombre.
Chanel Les 4 Ombres Quadra Eye Shadow retails for $57.00 and is new for Spring 2012. This collection has already been popping up at Chanel counters, I purchased mine at Nordstrom, but Macy’s didn’t have it yet (though they had gotten the testers, so I imagine they’ll put it out soon). Eclosion is not marked as limited edition on the Chanel site.
My FOTD and EOTD photos of this collection will be the next post. I’d like to get it up this evening, but I may not have time until tomorrow morning.

I love this compact. I got one for my cousin and she loves it too. Such pretty colors.
