A long time ago I was a huge fan of Chanel’s Irreelle Blushes (my personal fave was Mystery… I never ever seemed to take a bad picture when I wore this blush, it was bizarre!). They are now no more, and I’m okay with the Joues Contraste… but I’ve never really found a love for Chanel Blushes like I once had with Irreelle.
Finally, with the release of Holiday 2011 and Tweed Brun Rose (70), I decided to suck it up and try out the Les Tissages de Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effect.
Tweed Brun Rose was a great color to cut my teeth on. The bronzed peachy rose is exactly the type of blush I love all year round. The gold color woven throughout is just an over-spray and disappears after your first use. I didn’t really think it made much of a difference either way. The design itself is inspired by the classic Chanel tweed fabric.
Brun Rose has a lot more pigment than the blended out swatch above would suggest. I tapped my brush onto the product and got a little too much. With my other cheek I went a bit lighter and the result was perfect.
Chanel Les Tissages de Chanel Blush Duo Tweed Effect retails for $45.00 and can be purchased at your local Chanel counter or Chanel.com. Brun Rose appears to be permanent.
