So far from Chanel Holiday 2011 I’ve shared with you the Lip Glossimers in Sparkle D’Or and Sweet Beige (which I’ve literally been wearing every single day and am actually contemplating getting a backup of!).
Chanel’s holiday launch also brought us 2 Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadows in Beige Lame and Blazing Gold. Today I’m going to share with you Beige Lame. I passed on Blazing Gold, because I’ve been buying quite a bit of gold shadows this season, and Blazing Gold didn’t wow me in person. Chanel shadows are great, and if you don’t have any gold yet it would be good to pick up, but if you already have some golds there is really nothing different about this one.
(FYI that blurry shot was to show you the multicolor shimmer in this shadow) How beautiful is this shadow?! Chanel Beige Lame is a tan beige for the base, but what makes it so different and interesting is the multicolored shimmers that are present in the shadow. The shimmers don’t translate onto the eye as much as they do in the pan, which I actually like better. For a shadow I intend to wear on my neutral days (aka quite a bit) I don’t want to look like a disco ball. It will be just enough shimmer, however, to bring whimsy.
Ohhhh… you thought Beige meant boring? Yeah, no.
Chanel Beige Lame Ombre Essentielle Soft Touch Eyeshadow retails for $28.50 and was recently launched with Chanel’s Holiday 2011 Collection. You can pick this up at your local department store online, at the Chanel counter, or at Chanel.com.
