In addition to the Sweet Beige Glossimer, I also picked up the other Chanel Glossimer released with the Holiday 2011 Collection – Sparkle D’Or 307. I picked up this gloss because I didn’t have anything like it, and with golds being so popular for holiday I thought it would pair well with various lipsticks.
Sparkle D’Or is it’s name… gold sparkle. It’s not a gritty gloss or overly sticky, and when worn it gives a plumped up appearance to the lips. It even tinged them a bit and brought out some pigment, even though there is no pigment in the gloss itself.
When I first saw Sparkle D’Or in person I thought… omg what a perfect match for Dior Etoile Lipstick! What better way to make a straight up gold lipstick more wearable than to add on a sparkly gold gloss!!! Check it:
Here is a look at Sparkle D’Or placed over top of Dior Belle de Nuit Lipstick. Look how it tones down the red and makes it REALLY sparkle. Belle de Nuit has some gold in it already, so the Sparkle D’Or really pairs up well with the shade.
The Chanel Levres Scintillantes Glossimer retails for $28.50 and can be found at Chanel stores and counters, as well as at Chanel.com. Sparkle D’Or is Limited Edition.
So pretty! It will look great for the upcoming Holliday parties.
