I’ve become somewhat obsessed with Cult Nails ever since my first purchase of Living Water, and my second purchase of Captivated. The polishes are always top notch, and colors divine. Maria, being a beauty blogger herself, KNOWS what people like and want. Overall Beauty has the story behind the brand here (right click to open a new window so you aren’t navigated away from this page).
Today’s post will feature the polish Always Winning, which just arrived to me yesterday along with several others.
Always Winning is SUCH a gorgeous shade (please click to enlarge the swatch photo to fully appreciate the color). It is truly different, and that is what I love about Cult Nails. They have several run of the mill shades, but when they decide to be different, there is no holding back. The base is a frosty olive green and is topped with a ton of gold glitter as well as other shades, making the glitter look holo. Cult Nails polishes always wear well on me and once you apply (along with a top and base coat) you can expect to get at least a weeks worth of wear.
Now, the smell. I read a few reviews on this and only found one (from Let Them Have Polish) that mentioned the smell. It’s VERY strong and resembles gasoline. Maybe kerosine.. It’s not pleasant. Thankfully, this polish is considered a “layering polish” so you’ll likely only need to bust it out for one coat.
Cult Nails polishes retail for $10 each, BUT if you follow them on Facebook and Twitter you’ll be privy to awesome sales, promotions, and giveaways! You can purchase these on the Cult Nails website, or at OverallBeauty.com (though this particular shade is not currently available through Overall Beauty).

I read about the bad smell elsewhere too, but how pretty is that. I love Cult Nails too, Living Water & My Kind of Kool-Aid were my first.
I am holding out for a good sale on the new collection, had no $$ for the pre-order this year, but I keep looking at the pretty swatches :p
