From what I’ve heard through the grapevine, NYX Lipsticks are said to be the best in terms of quality and pricing.
A few months ago, I decided to pick up a few at Ulta to test this out for myself. Based off of my personal shade “likes” I picked up Heredes and Pumpkin Pie. Everyone seemed to like Pumpkin Pie, and I love a good peach, so it was on my list for awhile. I chose Heredes because I wanted a shade that I didn’t have a whole lot of, and that I could wear for a dressier type of occasion when I didn’t want to deal with red.
Pumpkin Pie isn’t just your average peach… there is a little bit of iridescence in there that you can see if you enlarge the photo of the bullets. This shade is very lovely and wearable. The texture of the lipstick is smooth, though I did expect it to be a bit more pigmented. I really had to layer it on for the swatch photo used in this post.
Heredes reminds me of the color of a peach.. the deepest shade of the peach (go get a peach if you think I’m nuts lol). This shade will look nice in the Fall and I think will easily compliment just about anyone who wears it. The texture is thick, though, almost watery.. if that makes any sense. I didn’t use a liner for the lip swatch, but when I wear this shade again it will definitely need a liner to help control the application.

I do like the NYX round lipsticks. I try to catch them when they're on sale on CC! They're such a good lippie for the price. These both look pretty on you!
