MAC Equilibrium Blush Swatches and Review – MAC Me Over

August 16, 2011

MAC Equilibrium Powder Blush is part of the late August 2011 release MAC Me Over, in the Basics section. MAC Me Over is a 51 piece collection that will be launching later on this month in North America, and in September internationally.

Equilibrium is described on the official press release as a light broze, satin finish. This blush is a light rose, bronze.. and even though it’s a Satin it has a sheen to it that makes me think of a Sheertone finish (though not as shimmery.) The sheen isn’t over bearing and this isn’t a bronze shade that will turn to mud on your face.

This particular shade leans warmer, but because of the hit of rose in it I think cooler tones can pull it off as well. Normally I’m MAC NW25 and I am LOVING this on. Darker tones may have an issue with this showing up nicely, but it would still give off a pretty sheen on the apples of the cheeks. I’ll be doing a FOTD that will include this blush at some point this week, so check back!

I’m really excited for this whole collection. It’s a biggie (51 pieces!), but it’s all so nice and wearable. I’m a sucker for Fall launches 😉 There is A LOT on my list – Peachstock lippie, Illicit lipglass, both quads, 3 fluidlines, Fatigues np, Stunner blush, a backup of the always awesome 226 brush, and 2 eyeshadows. That money tree can start growing anytime now!

MAC Equilibrium Powder Blush retails for $19.50 and will release on August 25, 2011 with the MAC Me Over Collection.

I think you definitely could. It's a satin so it wouldn't be as harsh of a contour. more natural!
