Shadow Pencils make the world of eye balls a much easier place to play. If used the right way, they can be applied as a shadow, a base for a shadow, or even a thick liner.
Wet N Wild brings you the Idol Eyes Creme Shadow Pencils as their contribution to the world of easy. Today, I have the shades Electro 131 and Pixie 130 to show you.
From the Wet N Wild website:
Soft-blending, creamy eyeshadow at the convenience of a pencil. Silky-smooth formula glides on easily for high-impact, light-infused color that lasts for hours.
Electro & Pixie are BEAUTIFUL colors. When I applied them, I wanted to fall over with lust. The Pencils are smooth, creamy, and super easy to apply and blend. Electro is literally the prettiest color EVER.
What about the wear? Used with Urban Decay Primer Potion (nothing ever creases on me when using this) I applied Electro to one eye and Pixie to the other eye. Within an hour both creased, especially Electro. I wiped both sides off and reapplied UDPP and both shades. This time I patted eyeshadow over-top to try and set the pencil. For over-top Electro I used Urban Decay Haight (from the Dangerous Palette) and for Pixie I used Urban Decay SWF (from the Feminine Palette). Checked back an hour later and Electro had creased just as badly, but Pixie still looked pretty good.
First Application: Using UDPP, this is what my lids looked like as soon as I applied
Results: After 1 hour using UDPP, the WnW Shadow Pencil, & UD Eye Shadows
If you notice, on the shades I set with the shadow, Pixie still looks pretty decent. Perhaps because it’s a light color. Electro creased something awful, but still looked good as a liner. Thank goodness, because I literally love the color of Electro more than any other blue, so I’m happy to use it for something!
Unfortunately, these DON’T last for hours, BUT the price is right, and you CAN work with them. I recommend giving the Idol Eyes Creme Shadow Pencils a try, but test them out before doing your final look, so you can figure out what approach works for you.
Wet N Wild Idol Eyes Creme Shadows retail for $1.99 and are available in 6 shades. You can pick them up at your local drugstore or at drugstore.com. (Check the ads, lately I’ve been seeing Wet N Wild on sale for buy one get one half off!)

Hannah – I actually have one or two of the NYX pencils here but haven't tried them. There is a bag of NYX just sitting around because their whole sale fail made me not want to promote anything for them lol I'm kinda over it tho, so I'll probably dig into that soon. From what I understand, the NYX pencils are pretty awesome.
The Urban Decay ones don't crease at all and are really great, but a lot more $$$ wise.
Wendy – ty for the tip! I'll try that!

Oh goodness! Those are bad creasings! I wonder if they would work okay blended out? How do they compare to NYX jumbo pencils?

I have some older Idol Eyes and they crease on me too. Even with a primer. That's sad, because all the colors are beautiful. And these 2 here are no exception.

I use a light hand with mine. I have the pixie one and I apply a thin layer blended out over primer and then shadow and its never creased on me.
