The third and final Chanel Fall 2011 nail polish I have to show you is Graphite. While not as showy as Peridot, Graphite definitely outshines Quartz, and is anything but ordinary.
I had originally thought that 2 coats was fine, but as I loaded up the pics I saw that I definitely needed 3, since it was patchy in places. The final pic is taken with no flash. (You can click the pics to enlarge them).
The color of Graphite reminds me of iron ore encrusted gold. In the sun, you’ll notice more of the gold shade coming through. It really is the nail polish version of a mineral chameleon. Is it silver? Is it platinum? Gold? Bronze?
Rather than Graphite, it actually reminds me more of Pyrite. (Image credit: The image below was found by searching “pyrite” on Yahoo Search and is from Herb-Magic.com)
Graphite as a polish is just beautiful. It did chip a little quicker than Chanel polishes usually do on me, but it’s so different, and beautiful, that all is forgiven. I cannot think of anything that is remotely like this.
Chanel polishes retail for $25 and are available at Chanel.com and at your local Chanel counters located inside department stores. Call to check on availability, as this particular shade is Limited Edition.
Very nice:)
Graphite looks gorgeous on you Brooke! 🙂
