Barielle Elle’s Spell has been a HUGE lemming of mine for some time. I forget whose swatch it was… but it looked amazing. I finally broke down and ordered it.
I’m actually pretty disappointed in this one. No doubt it’s beautiful… but I was all geared up for a deep burgundy polish with rainbow flakies (based off of the swatch I saw)… instead I got a wine colored jelly with drowned out gold flakies. I’m not sure what happened, you can see the rainbow effect in the bottle (middle pic). All pics were taken with no flash and in sunlight using 3 coats of Elle’s Spell.
The polish formula itself is pretty awesome. I love Barielle polishes and this is the first time I was disappointed. Though, I think if I would have ordered this without seeing the swatches and put it on I would have loved it. This is basically a case of me building myself up for something that wasn’t what I thought =\
Barielle polishes are available for $8 each and can be purchased at Barielle.com. Some Ulta’s are also popping up with Barielle displays, so be on the lookout!

Yea, I know what you mean, I thought it would be a lot darker based on the first pic but this color is really pretty on you. It's like a rasberry shade. Thanks for sharing.

Was the swatch you saw over a base? I can see how that would change it! I'm still totally smitten 🙂
