We’re spotlighting Kale Teter, one of the ultimate NARSissists who has recreated every look on the new site makeupyourmind.com, the community website featuring an interactive social game celebrating François Nars’ newest book Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself.
“I wanted to participate in the NARS Makeup Your Mind challenge because I’ve been very hard at work trying to perfect my skills as an aspiring makeup artist. I thought this would be an amazing chance to not only try and win an incredible opportunity, but to get lots of extra practice trying looks I wouldn’t usually think to try on my own,” said Kale about his passion toward the contest.
FAVORITE LOOKS: “#1 and #7; I love my look 1 because I tried to take the original concept and put it over the top. I wanted to add a bit of a quirky theatrical twist to it. Look 7 was already a dark, editorial look, which I always love.”
NARS FAVES: “I love NARS’ complexion products most of all. The foundations and concealers are great, as well as the loose powder. And, of course, I love the blushes and highlighters.”

Select one of 12 looks from the website and follow the onscreen step-by-step instructions (taken directly from the book) to achieve the look. Post a picture of it to the website by connecting through Facebook Connect (and become a “NARSissist”). Users can also participate by simply browsing the website and voting for their favorite “NARSissists.” The game will run through August 31, 2011.
